Files you upload

Documents, photos and scans you upload for conversion are processed in server memory / temporary storage only for as long as it takes to convert them, and are deleted immediately afterward. They are not read by anyone, not used to train any model, not shared with third parties, and not kept for any longer than the active conversion (or, for the side-by-side preview feature, until the short preview session expires).

One exception, and only if you choose it: when you fix a wrongly converted word in the preview and tick "Suggest this fix for the converter's dictionary", the wrong word and your correction (just those two words, nothing else from the file) are saved so the dictionary can be improved after review. Leave the box unticked and nothing is saved.

Accounts and personal data

No signup or account is required to use this tool, and none of the conversion features ask for your name, email or any personal detail. If you email us via the Contact page, we keep that email only to reply to you.

Visitor statistics

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which tools people use, so we know what to improve. It records things like which page was viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, and whether the visitor was on a phone or a computer. IP addresses are anonymised by Google Analytics 4 and we have switched off Google Signals and advertising personalisation, so this data is not used to build an advertising profile of you. It tells us nothing about the contents of any file you convert — those are never sent to Google, and are deleted from our own server immediately after conversion. If you would rather not be counted at all, Google publishes a browser opt-out add-on, and any browser setting or extension that blocks analytics will work here too — the converter itself works exactly the same either way.

Cookies and advertising

This site may show ads served by third-party advertising networks (such as Google AdSense). These networks may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings or via industry opt-out tools such as aboutads.info. We do not control how these third-party networks use the data they collect — please refer to their own privacy policies for details.

Conversion statistics

To find conversions that fail or come out badly, the server keeps anonymous technical figures for each conversion: which tool was used, the file type and size, the number of pages, how long it took, how much memory it needed, whether it worked, and (for scans) how sure the text recogniser was. It does not keep file names, file contents, extracted text or your IP address with these figures, and they cannot be used to see what any document said. They are kept for at most 13 months, to see how the tools hold up over time, and then deleted.

Basic server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps) for security and troubleshooting purposes. These are not used to identify individual users and are not sold or shared.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the tool adds features (for example, ads or basic analytics). Significant changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date at the top.
