The most common reason an application fails

Exam and recruitment portals reject uploads on two separate grounds and rarely say which one applied: the pixel dimensions, and the file size in kilobytes. A photo that is the right number of KB can still be refused for being the wrong shape, and a correctly shaped photo can be refused for being 8 KB too heavy. Fixing one without breaking the other by hand, minutes before a deadline, is a bad experience most applicants have had at least once.

Both constraints at once

This tool takes the dimensions you need and the size limit you have been given, and works to both. The image is scaled to the target dimensions first, then the compression is tuned until the file lands under the limit, rather than making you guess a quality percentage and re-check the file size yourself.

Typical requirements worth knowing

Indian recruitment forms are not standardised, so always read the instructions on the form itself, but the recurring shapes are a portrait photograph around 3.5 × 4.5 cm with the face filling most of the frame, and a signature in landscape with a much wider aspect ratio. Signatures are usually asked for in black ink on plain white paper, and are usually given a much tighter KB limit than the photograph.

Your photo does not leave your computer

This runs in your browser. The picture is scaled to the exact pixel size you asked for and then re-encoded at descending quality until it lands inside the KB range, without any of it being sent to us. If it comes out under the form's minimum size (which happens with a clean signature on white paper, because there is so little detail to store) a few bytes of harmless comment padding are added to lift it over the line. Every JPEG reader ignores those bytes, so the picture itself is unchanged; only the number the form checks moves.

The optional background colour change for a photo also runs in your browser: an AI portrait model separates the face from the wall on your own device, and you check the result (and rub out any leftover bit with Erase) before the resize. There is one exception, and it is worth stating plainly: changing a signature's background runs on our server, which lifts the ink off the paper; tick that box for a signature and the image is uploaded, processed and deleted as soon as the download is built.

Getting a good source image

The output can only be as good as the input. Photograph the signature in daylight, flat on white paper, from directly above rather than at an angle, and crop close before uploading. A dim, angled photo of a signature compresses into a grey smudge no matter which tool you use, this one included. Nothing you upload is stored.

फॉर्म पर लिखी शर्तें खुद पढ़ लीजिए, हर विभाग की अपनी होती हैं। मोटे तौर पर फोटो लगभग 3.5 × 4.5 सेमी खड़ी माँगी जाती है जिसमें चेहरा बड़ा दिखे, और हस्ताक्षर चौड़ाई में, सफेद कागज पर काली स्याही से। हस्ताक्षर की KB सीमा फोटो से सख्त रहती है।

नतीजा उतना ही अच्छा आयेगा जितनी अच्छी मूल फोटो होगी। हस्ताक्षर दिन के उजाले में, सफेद कागज पर, सीधे ऊपर से खींचिए, तिरछा नहीं। अपलोड से पहले किनारे से काट लीजिए। अँधेरे में तिरछी खींची फोटो किसी भी टूल में धब्बा ही बनेगी।

कोई फाइल सर्वर पर नहीं रखी जाती।
